Victor Pipkin began his musical career playing trios with his mother and father. He continued studying music in Victoria, B.C., France and Cleveland. He has performed with orchestras and ensembles in France, Spain, South Africa, Venezuela, the United States, and Canada.

He settled in Edmonton in 1990 upon joining the ESO, and is currently planning on playing forever. He lives with his wife, Kathleen, their three beautiful children, and his mother-in-law who has Alzheimer’s. Victor and his family live on and operate a farm near Onoway, supplying fresh food directly to Albertans through a CSA.
