About The Concert
Triple-threat composer, conductor, and pianist Dinuk Wijeratne makes his ESO debut. A JUNO Award-winner who made his Carnegie Hall debut while still a student in 2004, Wijeratne has performed with everyone from Yo-Yo Ma to tabla legend Zakir Hussain. Experience a provocative program featuring Wijeratne’s Fantasy Variations for Piano and Strings, recent music by Kareem Roustom and Luis Ramirez, and Chris Brubeck’s colourful Bass Trombone Concerto.
