About The Concert
Ravel’s Bolero showcases the composer’s incredible ability as an orchestrator, and Élisabeth Pion makes her ESO debut with his stunning, jazz-influenced Piano Concerto. Highlights from Porgy and Bess, Gershwin’s most successful opera, includes Summertime, the most covered song in history. Gould’s high-energy Symphonette No. 2 completes this sensational, genre-fusing program.
